		<description>There were so many things I learned from this document and I thank God for it.  I would like to highlight some of the most significant for me are:

1. Knowing the importance of our priest In Persona Christi .  Only the Catholic church has  taken up this special gift from our God.  How privileged and awesome it is for us!  

2. Mother Mary who was the first to bear and hold the Body and Blood of Jesus.  I never connected this to Mary.  I am currently reading the book “Hail Holy Queen” by Scott Hann explaining that Mary is the new Ark of the Covenant.  When I was reading about Mary in the Pope’s writings, the pages unfolded together with the book. How apt that this is God’s way of reaffirming the message because I don’t read the book every day only when I happen to pick up where I left off before bed time. Scott’s book of Jesus being the Sacrificial Lamb says a lot about the Eucharist. 

3. Christ is present in us each time we receive Him and also in everybody (even those whom we do not have high regard for – even in our priests).  Although the priests are sinners, they represent Jesus at the Eucharistic Celebrations.  This is sometimes quite difficult to accept but I am now more aware of this fact and make a conscious effort to see Jesus in them. 

4. The Eucharist is our strength, hope and food for our journey – we can always turn to for protection, solace, healing, peace and joy.  Amen!

Thank you so so much for this beautiful course.  God bless everyone who created it, those who participated in it and those who are going to participate in it.</description>

		<description>Actually everything I learned from the whole course was helpful and life-changing, i.e. from the initiation of the Eucharist during the Last Supper up to and including the present day Mass (Eucharistic Celebration). The most life changing thing I learned was; In the Eucharist we have Jesus, we have his redemptive sacrifice, we have his resurrection, we have the gift of Holy Spirit, we have adoration, obedience, and love of the Father. So for us Christians to live a life of holiness,we should be people of the Eucharist (the source and summit of ecclesial life). 

WE are encouraged to borrow a leaf from Mary ("Woman of the Eucharist") imitating her form the time Annunciation, Visitation, During and after the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Epiphany, the finding of the boy Jesus in the Temple, and in the most trying moment of her life:-during the Passion of Christ, at the Crucifixion , death and burial and above all Christ,s Resurrection. During all this time she made her own"the sacrificial dimension of the Eucharist". We Christians of today should imitate Mary and give her respsct by praying and reciting the Rosary more often and asking our Blessed Mother to intercede for us so that we may see the holiness bestowed to us in receiving the Eucharist.

What I now beg to ask God is to grant me the knowledge, wisdom and serenity to sow the seeds of faith to as many people as I can bearing in mind that we should NOT separate ourselves form Christ by not taking the Eucharist.

Thank you and God Bless you all for this wonderful, educative and excellent course</description>

		<description>With Chapter 6 I continue to appreciate that in our Eucharist Jesus is making present the meaning of his death and resurrection.  The constant faith of the Church has always taken the words of Jesus literally.  The Eucharist is a marvelous, extraordinary change of the whole substance of bread into Christ's body and the whole substance of wine into his blood.  Simply, what was bread and wine is now Jesus.  We are called to Mass to celebration the Eucharist.  We come expressing our love for God and each other and going home we know that we have deepened our relationship with God and with each other.

It is only appropriate for us to honor Mary; she is the Mother of Jesus and the Mother of God.  Mary is loved and adored by many Catholics.  The prayer that has come of accompany the Our Father is the Hail Mary.  "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death."


The entire course on the Eucharist was very informative, excellent course. The Mass is indeed an unique assembly; the Lord Jesus offers His Own Sacrifice of the Cross to his Heavenly Father through the priest at the altar and for the sins of the world.  I thoroughly enjoyed the section about Mary and her role in the Church.  The Mass is the one perfect sacrifice in the world.  We, as Christians, must be open to Jesus' transforming power, strength and hope.

Thank you for the excellent course!</description>

		<description>This beautiful and timely encyclical gives such a comprehensive meditation on the Church and the Eucharist that it is difficult to choose "one thing" that is most helpful. The thoughts resonating within me include the unity with all Christians and all of Christian history when we receive the Eucharist, the of-forgotten truth that the Eucharist both creates and expresses communion but also presupposes that communion exists, the essential "oneness" of the Eucharist celebration which must be preserved even as the celebration is adapted for certain cultures, and the relationship between Mary and the Eucharist.

Perhaps because the role of Mary is often downplayed today, these words about her role were most moving to me personally. Because I often pray "with Mary" at Mass (knowing that she knows best how to welcome her Son and she can teach me), the Holy Father's words felt like a kind of confirmation for this way of praying. We can find in Mary the perfect conformity to the will of God and ask her to pray that we might also conform our wills completely. She is our model of faith, hope, and love; she is our mother; she is the first one to receive the physical reality of the Son of God; her "fiat" is the yes of humanity to God's plan. As the Holy Father says, "there is nothing greater than (Mary's) spirituality for helping us to experience the mystery of the Eucharist. The Eucharist has been given to us so that our life, like that of Mary, may become completely a Magnificat!" (p. 58)</description>

		<description>What I will take from this course is that the Church was born of the Paschal Mystery and that we are spiritually taken back to those events at every Eucharistic celebration.  Reflecting on this and all that it means will help me to participate more fully in the Mass.

		<description>It is so inspiring to appreciate the role of Mary in God’s plan of man’s salvation in Jesus Christ. Since the beginning of time, Mary is already prophetically foreshadowed in the promise of victory over the serpent which was given to our first parents after their fall into sin (Genesis 3:15). The synoptic Gospel of Matthew brought to fulfillment the messianic prophecy of Isaiah on events in the life of Jesus and especially the virgin birth that was foretold about 700 B.C.: Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14).  Accepting the divine revelation by angel Gabriel at the annunciation, Mary, by uttering her fiat in faith, allows the mystery of the incarnation to be accomplished in her.   

Other then the visitation, the nativity, the presentation, the epiphany, flight to Egypt and finding of Jesus in the temple when he was 12 years of age, there begins the long period of the hidden life for both Jesus and his mother, Mary. The next recorded event that took place after that in the Gospel of John was at the wedding feast at Cana. Telling the servants: “Do whatever He tells you”, Mary, is playing her role as a mediatrix and “signpost” pointing us to Jesus. 

Throughout Jesus’ public life, we hardly hear about Mary. Mary, filled with grace, understood her role. At the appointed time, Mary presents her son to whom she conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and gave birth in a virginal manner, the “Holy One”, the Son of God to the world. Having done that, Mary then took a secondary role, phasing off from the main scene so that the glory of God can be manifested through Jesus Christ.

Mary was the first of “those who hear the word of God and do it.” Mary was the first to be in commune with God at the annunciation. That could be one of the reasons why Mary’s physical presence was not mentioned at the Last Supper of Jesus. From the moment of the annunciation, Mary has always been one with her Son Jesus in faith and in spirit. Mary followed Jesus step by step in the tragic experience of Golgotha. On Calvary, Mary stood at the foot of the cross, faithfully preserved her union with her son. The resurrection of Jesus three days later was not a surprise for Mary. In her faith, she knows that the power that overshadowed her at Annunciation would not allow the Son of the Most High to rot in the tomb.     

Behold I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word. These words of submission rendered Mary to be the “woman of the Eucharist” in her whole life. I pray that through receiving the Eucharist, I will always be in tune to the Word of God and carrying out His will.</description>

I was impressed with its contents and pleasantly suprised at how it provided me with the confidence and assurance of my faith.  I enjoyed reading a bout Mary, the mother of Jesus, and how she represents a great example of how I am to live out my faith (amongst others like Paul....).  When I celebrate communion/Eucharist, I will be that much more aware of the solominity of the act and how, if I am available to the Holy Spirit's leading, I can enter in to a deeper relationship with Jesus through this.  I am excited to see how He will work in my life through learning from this course.</description>

		<description>I found this course on line - it was a coincidence - I wasn't really looking for it, but we know the Holy Spirit led me to it.  Thank You!  The whole section on communion touched me greatly - all the faithful of the Church in full communion with Christ through the Eucharist.  The secion on Our Blessed Mother and the ways she celebrated Eucharist has enhanced my recitation of the Rosary, truly walking with Mary through all the mysteries.  "The sacrament of the Eucharist is a treasure that impels us - pushes, urges, motivates us towards the full sharing offaith with all our brothers and issters to whomwe are already joined by the sacrament of Baptism" a treasure indeed!</description>

		<description>The one thing that I found most life-changing was how Our Blessed Mother, Whom I am devoted to, is so closely united to the Eucharist.

      The Eucharist,all my life has been the part of my Faith that I was most sincere about. I always believed all that our Catholic Faith taught , from my very youngest years. As I grew and faced divorce and single motherhood the lose of the Eucharist was as if most of my heart was torn away. My goal was to be able to return to the Sacrament of my heart, Thank God I was able to do that.

       Being able to partake in the life and death and resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, in the Eucharist, is a gift that I would gladly share with the whole world if I could. But all I can do is share the knowledge with those I can.

        God grant me the knowledge to sow the seeds of faith to as many as I can.

        Thank you God for the chance to take this course, it has brought my soul to a new level.</description>
